RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended the Council authorize the Chief of Police to accept $264,557 in total grant funding for the 2017 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program for the City and County of Fresno, authorize the Chief of Police to sign all applicable and related documents, Memorandum Of Understanding between the City and County of Fresno and adopt the 23rd amendment to the Annual Appropriation Resolution No. 2018-158 appropriating $103,600 from the 2017 JAG program into the FY 2019 budget. The remaining funding will be realized in the FY 2020 budget.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This program is a joint application with City of Fresno acting as the fiscal agent to administer the 2017 Justice Assistance Grant funding.
