RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council approve the revised resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager, or designee, to sign and submit an application for and acceptance of funding from the California Department of Housing and Community Development Prohousing Incentive Program (PIP) Round 2, and authorizing the City Manager, or designee, to sign all necessary implementing documents approved as to form by the City Attorney's Office, allowing the City to receive up to $1,500,000 for the City of Fresno's Local Housing Trust Fund.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The City Council adopted Resolution Number 2024-052 on March 7, 2024, authorizing the City as the applicant to submit an application to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) Prohousing Incentive Program (PIP) Round 2 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) issued on January 23, 2024 (Application).

On March 13, 2024, staff submitted the Application for funding to HCD and has since received notification that authorizing Resolution Number 2024-052 needs to be revised to include that the City Manager, or designee, is authorized to sign and submit the Application on behalf of the City.
