RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that Council adopt a finding of a Categorical Exemption and award a construction contract with Clean Cut Landscape Inc. for $598,955 for the Pilibos Park Irrigation Pump Controller and Turf Replacement Project and authorize the Director of General Services or designee to execute all related documents.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The existing irrigation pump and controller at Pilibos Park are past their useful life expectancy, no longer manufactured, and parts are generally not available. Due to the scale of the park and the irrigation required, the existing equipment is unable to keep up with watering demands, stressing the turf, and causing it to die. The General Services Department, Facilities Management Division, seeks to award a construction contract to address the root cause of the stressed turf by replacing the irrigation equipment and the turf on all four soccer fields for the Parks, After School, Recreation and Community Services (PARCS) Department...
