Actions pertaining to professional engineering services related to the East Central Recycled Water Facility (Council District 4)
1. ***RESOLUTION - 44th amendment to the Annual Appropriation Resolution (AAR) No. 2014-95 to appropriate $2,619,900 for design and construction support services for the East Central Recycled Water Facility (Requires 5 affirmative votes)
2. Award a Professional Services contract to Carollo Engineering, Inc., a Delaware corporation, in the amount of $4,609,874 to provide design and construction support services

RECOMMENDATION
The Department of Public Utilities is recommending Council appropriate additional funding and award a design contract to Carollo Engineers for design and services throughout the construction of the East Central Recycled Water Facility ("Facility"), and associated sewer pump station and piping.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Department of Public Utilities, Wastewater Management Division is seeking to award a professional engineering contract for the development and design of the Facility. Consultant services will extend from preliminary design through support during construction. These services include environmental analysis, assist in applying for State Revolving Fund loans if appropriate, public outreach and collection system modification designs. Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the 44th AAR No. 2014-95 and award a contract in the amount of $4,609,874 to Carollo Engineering, Inc.
