Actions pertaining to Pump Station 208-2:
1. Adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption per staff's determination, pursuant to Sections 15301, 15302, and 15303 of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines
2. Award a Construction Contract to Nor-Cal Pump & Well Drilling, Inc., in the amount of $418,167 to drill and construct a new production well at Pump Station 208-2, located at 4554 North Wishon Avenue (Bid File 3754) (County Island near Council Districts 4 and 7)

RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends that City Council award a Construction Contract in the amount of $418,167 to Nor-Cal Pump & Well Drilling, Inc., to drill and construct a new production well at Pump Station 208-2 (PS 208-2) (Project); and authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or designee, to sign and execute all documents on behalf of the City of Fresno (City).
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Department of Public Utilities, Water Division, solicited Contractor services to perform the drilling, construction, and development of a new water production well at PS 208-2. Nor-Cal Pump & Well Drilling, Inc., was found to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid in the amount of $418,167. The proposed replacement well is essential in ensuring appropriate levels of service are maintained in the surrounding area.
BACKGROUND
