SUBJECT
Title

Approve the First Amendment to the Consultant Services Agreement with Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group, Inc., to extend the Agreement term from August 30, 2020 to October 29, 2021, for design and construction support services on the Armstrong - Kings Canyon to Butler Water Main Replacement Project, for a previously approved contract amount of $63,500 (Council District 5)

Body
RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends that City Council approve the First Amendment to the Consultant Services Agreement (Agreement) with Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group, Inc., (Consultant) to extend the Agreement term from August 30, 2020 to October 29, 2021 for design and construction support services on the Armstrong - Kings Canyon to Butler Water Main Replacement Project (Project); and authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or designee, to sign the Amendment on behalf of the City of Fresno (City).

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On October 14, 2019, the Department of Public Utilities entered into an Agreement with the Consultant in the amount of $63,500 to provide design and construction support services for the Project. Due to the need for unanticipated coordination with the Department of Public Works' for a project they had in the vicinity as well as longer than anticipated periods for construction documents' reviews and revisions, the Agreement needs to be extended to retain the Consultant's services through the completion of the Project. This Amendment will extend the Agreement term to October 29, 2021. The current agreement amount of $63,500 will remain the same with this Amendment.
