RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends approval of a consultant services agreement with Deol Data, Inc. in the amount of
$834,400 for professional aviation security systems planning and design services at Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) and Fresno Chandler Executive Airport (FCH) and to authorize the Director of Aviation or designee to execute the agreement on behalf of the City.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Command and control of the airport is required to enhance security response, keeping the traveling public safe while also providing security/safety information to our first responders. The current system will be upgraded and enhanced. The design effort for this Project will enable the Airport to meet the FAA and TSA security requirements that will allow for more secure operations and continued future growth at both airports.

BACKGROUND

The existing security systems at Fresno Yosemite International Airport was installed nearly 20 years ago and requires enhanced features. The new system will provide and/or allow a rapid response to any future threats. Key components of the new system will include an access control system, CCTV high-definition cameras, video management system, and a badge credentialing system. Access control will ensure full coverage at FAT and connectivity with FCH.
