Discipline Appeal Hearing [Pursuant to Fresno Municipal Code Section  
3-284]

At 9:00 AM the Board convened into Closed Session.  
Present on behalf of the appellant was representative Roger D. Wilson. Present on behalf of  
the City was Deputy City Attorney II; Virginia Madrid Salazar.  
The City presented a pre-hearing motion to dismiss the appeal. The board upheld the  
decision to proceed with a hearing on appeal and will be setting a date at the next Civil  
Service Board Meeting. The presented exhibit was moved into motion.  
Open Session - Government Code Section 54950 - Annual Training  
[Pursuant to Fresno Municipal Code Section 2-803]  
At 9:17 AM the Board convened into Open Session.  
Present for Brown Act Training was Chair; Mike McDonald, Member; Brad Hardie, Member;  
Todd Cregar, Board Counsel; James McCann, Secretary Designee; Brittany Silva.  
Presenting the Brown Act Training for the City was Senior Deputy Attorney II; Amanda  
Freeman.  
Training was concluded at 9:47 AM with no further business to come before the Board.  
3. UNSCHEDULED COMMUNICATION  
Members of the public may address the Civil Service Board regarding items that are not  
listed on the Agenda and within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board. Each person is  
limited to a three (3) minute presentation. Board action on unscheduled items, if any, shall  
be limited to referring the item to staff for a report and possible scheduling on a future Civil  
Service Board agenda.
