A motion was made by Vice Chair Tracy and seconded by Member Cregar to approve the
Findings, Decision and Order After Review.
4. BUSINESS
Closed Session - Government Code Section 54957 Schedule hearing
date for the Request for Continuance of Hearing [Pursuance to Fresno
Municipal Code Section 3-284]

Present on behalf of Appointing Authority was Deputy City Attorney II, Virginia
Madrid-Salazar and Director of Public Utilities, Brock Buche.
The Appellant was also present.
The Board approved the Appellant's request for continuance of hearing. Deputy City
Attorney II, Virginia Madrid-Salazar will present expert witness availability at the next
scheduled hearing on May 7, 2024. At this time, the Civil Service Board will confirm the date
for Appellant's continuance. Deputy City Attorney II, Virginia Madrid-Salazar requested a
waiver of back pay to which the Appellant agreed to.
At 9:10 A.M. the Board reconvened into Open Session.
5. UNSCHEDULED COMMUNICATION
Members of the public may address the Civil Service Board regarding items that are not
listed on the Agenda and within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board. Each person is
limited to a three (3) minute presentation. Board action on unscheduled items, if any, shall
be limited to referring the item to staff for a report and possible scheduling on a future Civil
Service Board agenda.
