RECOMMENDATION

Staff is recommending that the City Council approve the resolution delegating authority to the City Manager to execute agreements of up to $165,000 for Cycle Two of the Expanded Access to Arts and Culture Grant Program.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The City of Fresno will be entering into approximately 146 agreements with organizations that were awarded funds under the Cycle Two of the Expanded Access to Arts and Culture (EAAC) Grant Program ranging from zero percent (0%) to ninety percent (90%) of the amounts awarded. In order to facilitate payment of the remaining amounts owed under Cycle Two, the City is in the process of entering into grant agreements and/or settlement and assignment of claims agreements with those organizations that received awards under Cycle Two. The City Manager currently has authority to execute grant agreements in the amounts up to $100,000 and settlement and assignment of claims agreements in the amount up to $50,000. Certain remaining amounts owed to Cycle Two grantees may exceed the City Manager’s existing signature authority. Staff is recommending that the City Council approve the resolution delegating authority to the City Manager to execute agreements of up to $165,000 for Cycle Two of the Expanded Access to Arts and Culture Grant Program.
