RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommend the City Council conduct the required public hearing and, at the close of the hearing, adopt the attached resolution approving the vacation of portions of city-owned right of way located at the northeast corner of North Milburn Avenue and West Dakota Avenue for Dolores Huerta Park.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Dolores Huerta Park project (Project) will provide 4.5 acres of recreational amenities and landscape plantings. City staff proposes vacating portions of city-owned right of way (adjacent to Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN) 511-200-30T) located at the northeast corner of North Milburn Avenue and West Dakota Avenue for Dolores Huerta Park. The proposed vacation of the public street easement is described and shown in Exhibits “A” and “B” of the attached resolution with a reservation of a public utility easement as described and shown in Exhibits “C” and “D”.
The Project is funded by Proposition 68 and Park Impact Fee appropriations.
