Title
Reject bid for the Granny's Park Modular Building Replacement project - Bid File No. 3666
Body

RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends Council reject the single bid received December 3, 2019, for the modular replacement project for Granny's Park - Bid File No. 3666.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The project budget for the replacement modular is $250,000 and 100% funded through the federally funded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. CDBG funding requirements stipulate that a minimum of two bids must be received in order for the project to be eligible for CDBG funding. The City received only one bid. Therefore, the project does not satisfy the federal funding procurement guidelines.

In addition to receiving only one bid, the bid received from Global Modular, Inc. was 93% above the project allocation. For these reasons, staff recommends that Council reject the bid for the modular replacement for Granny's Park.
