EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This is a presentation of the Downtown Fresno Partnership Annual 2020 Report to City Council.
BACKGROUND
The Downtown Fresno Partnership was established in 2011, and renewed in 2016 for a term of seven (7) years. It is a Property-based Business Improvement District (PBID) that was organized for the improvement of approximately 350 acres in the core of the Downtown area. Property owners within the boundaries of the DFP pay an annual assessment in exchange for services over and above those provided by the City, including security, janitorial services, the organization of public events and festivals and marketing and promotion of Downtown businesses.
ENVIRONMENTAL FINDINGS
This item is not a project as defined by the California Environmental Quality Act.
LOCAL PREFERENCE
Local preference was not implemented because this item does not include an award of a service or construction contract.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no net City cost associated with this presentation to Council.
