RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council authorize the Assistant Chief Information Officer, or designee, to execute a contract with NexLevel Information Technology, Inc. On September 18, 2015, a Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued on the City's website and advertised in the Fresno Business Journal seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to develop a citywide five (5) year IT Strategic Plan to guide the City over the next five years in planning, procuring, implementing and managing current and future investments and resources. On October 20, 2015, the City received proposals from eight consulting firms. After a comprehensive review of the proposals by a committee comprised of multiple departments, and review of the best qualified candidates for this project, staff recommends NexLevel is selected and authorize the Assistant Chief Information Officer, or designee, to execute a contract with NexLevel for $174,800 to begin this project. NexLevel was selected due to their impressive credentials, experience with municipalities and other agencies, excellent demonstration of their understanding of our RFP, and the detail of their plan to compete the assessment and review.
