***RESOLUTION - Approving the application for project funding from the San Joaquin River Conservancy and authorizing the Director of Public Works or Designee to accept project funds and execute all application and funding related documents with the San Joaquin River Conservancy on behalf of the City of Fresno for the construction of a Traffic Signal and Intersection Improvements at Audubon Drive and Del Mar Avenue (Council District 2) (Subject to Mayor's Veto)

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution approving the application to the San Joaquin River Conservancy Project Funding Program seeking up to $1,200,000 for the construction of a traffic signal and intersection improvements at Audubon Drive and Del Mar Avenue, and authorize the Director of Public Works, or designee(s), as a representative(s) of the City of Fresno to conduct negotiations, execute, submit, and sign all documents including but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests, and other documents which may be necessary for the completion of the proposed project.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The approval of the San Joaquin River Conservancy project funding agreement will allow the City of Fresno to fund construction of the traffic signal and intersection improvements at Audubon Drive and Del Mar Avenue. The construction of this project would comply with the required mitigation measures identified in the Final Environmental Impact Report for the River West Eaton Trail Extension Project.
