RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends that City Council approve Contract Change Order No. 02 with Emmett's Excavation Inc. for a total increase in Contract amount of $85,840 and allow Ten (10) additional working days for the completion of this additional work for the Sewer Rehabilitation in the areas bound by Blackstone, Maroa, Mckinley, and Clinton Avenues. Change Order No. 02 provides additional funds and time to remove and replace an eight-inch sewer main on College Avenue.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On April 21, 2022, a Contract was awarded in the amount of $1,578,078 to Emmett's Excavation, Inc. for the Sewer Rehabilitation in the area bound by Blackstone, Maroa, Mckinley and Clinton Avenues. City Council approval of Contract Change Order No. 02 will allow for an additional $85,840 to remove and replace an eight-inch sewer main on College Avenue. It was discovered the grade on the eight-inch sewer main on College Avenue was not correct, and that the sewer main had to be removed and replaced to make the system functional.
