RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends City Council approve a consultant services agreement with Melton Design Group Inc. (MDG), of Sacramento, California in the amount of $869,200 with an additional $80,000 contingency, for design and construction support services for the Quigley Park Rehabilitation Project and authorize the Capital Projects Director or designee to execute the agreement on behalf of the City.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The City of Fresno Parks, After School, Recreation and Community Services Department (PARCS) proposes to redesign Quigley Park and consider new amenities such as a recreation center, multi-purpose courts, softball/baseball field, volleyball courts, dog park, splash pad, soccer field, shade structures, plaza space, and a playground area among other features deemed necessary to enhance the overall recreation experience.
