RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve Contract Change Order No. 3 with A. Teichert & Son, Inc. dba Teichert Construction in the amount of $300,000.00, increasing the total contract amount to $9,203,232.93 for the North Avenue Sewer Trunk Main Realignment from west of Golden State Boulevard to Maple Avenue, and authorize the Capital Projects Department Director or designee to sign Contract Change Order No. 3 on behalf of the City.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On May 22, 2025, a contract was awarded in the amount of $8,738,800 to Teichert Construction for the North Avenue Sewer Trunk Main Realignment from west of Golden State Boulevard to Maple Avenue (Project). Due to an increase in railroad-related Project costs, the Capital Projects Department recommends approval of Contract Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $300,000.00. This increase will result in a revised contract total of $9,203,232.93. Funding for this Contract Change Order is included in the Fiscal Year 2027 Capital Improvement Budget within the Wastewater Management Division Operating Fund.
