RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that Council adopt the Fifteenth Amendment to the Fiscal Year 2025 Salary Resolution No. 2024-120, effective April 21, 2025, to:
* Amend the monthly salary step plan range for the Building Services Manager classification in Exhibit 14, Management Classes (CFMEA).

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In collaboration with the Planning & Development Department, Personnel Services is recommending to increase the monthly salary step plan range for the Building Services Manager job classification to align with the scope of duties, responsibilities, and qualifications for the position.

It is recommended that the salary step plan range for Building Services Manager be increased from Step A - Step I: $11,470 - $13,977 monthly to Step A - Step I: $12,945 - $15,772 monthly.

This action will not require additional appropriations by the department. The City has provided notice to the respective bargaining unit and has met its meet and confer obligation.

BACKGROUND

Personnel Services recommends modification to the pay range for Building Services Manager to reflect the duties and responsibilities of the classification. The Building Services Manager is an integral position within the Planning & Development Department and is responsible for the effective operations of the Building Services Division, including plan check and inspection services.
