Staff recommends Council authorize this Third Amendment to the Agreement with the Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation for the Small Business Fa?ade Program adding $400,000 in additional funding and extending the term to December 31, 2025.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Small Business Fa?ade Program (Program) was originally approved by Council on August 10, 2023 with an effective date of September 28, 2023. The Program has since been amended twice to extend funding deadlines. This third amendment would add $400,000 in additional funding to provide fa?ade grants to qualified small businesses and non-profits located in the Downtown and Chinatown areas, with preference for businesses in the Infill Infrastructure Grant - Catalytic Qualifying Infill Area (IIGC) and extend the term of the agreement to December 31, 2025.

BACKGROUND

The Small Business Fa?ade Program (Program) was originally approved by Council on August 10, 2023 with an effective date of September 28, 2023. The Program currently provides fa?ade grants to qualified small businesses located in identified areas in Council Districts 1 and 4.

Since inception, the Program has been amended twice in an effort to extend the deadlines for funding allocations. To date, funding has been granted to 30 entities.
