Title
Actions pertaining to environmental engineering services at Maxie L. Parks Community Center:
1. Approve a Third Amendment for Consultant Services with Kleinfelder, Inc. for Environmental Engineering Services to extend the term of the agreement for no additional cost through February 28, 2026, to complete services for the Maxie L. Parks site located at 2165 South Elm Street, Fresno, CA 93706.
2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the agreement on behalf of the City of Fresno.

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommend that the City Council approve a Third Amendment for Consultant Services with Kleinfelder to extend the term of the agreement for no additional cost through February 28, 2026 to complete environmental engineering services, and authorize the City Manager or designee to sign all related documents on behalf of the City.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City of Fresno has been working with Kleinfelder to provide environmental engineering services to respond to Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board's (RWQCB) requirements associated with the Maxie L. Parks site located at 2165 South Elm Street. This amendment will extend the term of the agreement to enable the completion of the environmental engineering services.
BACKGROUND
On October 20, 2023, the City of Fresno entered into a consultant agreement with Kleinfelder, Inc. for an additional assessment of the Maxie L. Parks site based on the RWQCB recommendations. The additional assessment involved installing permanent vapor monitoring points and conducting soil testing. On November 9, 2023, on-site vapor monitoring was completed.
