EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This Midtown Fresno Multimodal Interconnectivity Project will increase walkability and improve bike infrastructure with the addition of three traffic signals near three schools in the Midtown area: Anthony Elementary, Heaton Elementary and Muir Elementary. These intersections have met pedestrian traffic signal warrants and are included on the Citywide traffic signal priority list. The project is funded by a grant through the Active Transportation Program (ATP) administered through the California Transportation Commission and the California Department of Transportation. The subject consultant agreement in the amount of $85,410 with a $5,000 contingency will facilitate the design and construction support services necessary to complete the project.
