Title
Actions pertaining to Peach Avenue and McKenzie Trail High Intensity Activated Crosswalk (HAWK) Project - Bid File 3792 (Council District 7):
1. Adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption per staff's determination pursuant to Section 15301 and Section 15303 of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines.
2. Award a construction contract in the amount of $209,009 to PTM General Engineering Services, Inc., of Riverside, CA.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends the City Council adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption pursuant to Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) and Section 15303 (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines, award a construction contract with PTM General Engineering Services, Inc., of Riverside, California, in the amount of $209,009 as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the Peach Avenue and McKenzie Trail High Intensity Activated Crosswalk (HAWK) Project, and authorize the Public Works Director, or designee, to sign the construction contract on behalf of the City of Fresno.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The proposed Peach Avenue and McKenzie Trail HAWK Project will enhance safety for cyclists and pedestrians using the McKenzie Trail and crossing Peach Avenue. The scope of work proposed with this project includes the construction of a new HAWK pedestrian signal and associated improvements to the roadway signage and striping. The project is funded primarily with a State Active Transportation Program (ATP) grant with matching local funds through the Measure C Trails fund.
