Actions pertaining to the Grantland Water Main Extension between Shaw & Gettysburg Project (Bid File 12600527) (Council District 1 and County):
1. Adopt a finding of Statutory Exemption pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21080.21 of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines;
2. Award a Construction Contract in the amount of $1,159,574.00 to Cal Valley Construction Inc., as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends City Council (1) adopt a finding of Statutory Exemption pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21080.21 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidlines, and (2) award a Construction Contract in the amount of $1,159,574.00 to Cal Valley Construction Inc., as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the Grantland Water Main Extension between Shaw & Gettysburg Project (Project), and authorize the Capital Projects Director or designee to sign and execute all documents on behalf of the City of Fresno (City).
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Capital Projects Department seeks to award a water main Construction Contract to Cal Valley Construction Inc. following a competitive bidding process which identified them as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the amount of $1,159,574. The Project will provide increased service pressure and reliability for drinking water and fire protection in the adjacent service area.
