RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve an agreement for Professional Engineering Services with Peters Engineering Group, of Clovis, California in the amount of $154,000, with a $10,000 contingency, for design and construction support services for the Cedar Avenue Roadway Improvements between Herndon Avenue and Alluvial Avenue and authorize the Capital Projects Director or designee to sign the agreement on the City's behalf.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City of Fresno has identified the need for a roadway restoration project on Cedar Avenue, spanning from Herndon Avenue to Alluvial Avenue. The purpose of this project is to extend the lifespan of a heavily traveled arterial through pavement rehabilitation while also achieving complete street goals. Improvements will include pavement restoration, buffered Class II bicycle lanes, curb ramp improvements, median nose adjustments, traffic loop replacement, and updated signage and striping, which will enhance safety and promote multimodal connectivity for both motorists and non-motorists.
