RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends that City Council:

1. Approve the First Amendment to the Professional Consultant Services Agreement with The Sol?s Group for $48,230 for additional services for the City of Fresno's 80-million gallon per day Southeast Surface Water Treatment Facility project.

2. Authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or designee, to sign all documents on behalf of the City of Fresno.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Department of Public Utilities seeks Council approval for a First Amendment to the Professional Consultant Services agreement with The Sol?s Group to perform labor compliance monitoring services during the construction of the City of Fresno's 80-million gallon per day Southeast Surface Water Treatment Facility (Facility). Construction of the Facility began in December 2015. It has been determined that the City would like to increase the Consultant's scope to include services to analyze and document Facility construction workforce data. The City and Consultant have agreed to a value for the additional services in the amount of $48,230.

BACKGROUND

The Water Division has developed the City's Metropolitan Water Resources Management Plan (Plan). The Plan is comprised of multiple capital projects to provide a sustainable and reliable water supply for the community; repair, and replace aging infrastructure; and eliminate the over drafting of the City's groundwater resources.
