Title
Actions pertaining to the Garage 7 High Priority Repairs project:
1. Adopt finding a Categorical Exemption pursuant to Section 15301 Existing Facilities of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines
2. Award a construction contract to Capital Industrial Restoration Inc., of Rancho Cordova, California, in the amount of $1,632,100.00 for the Garage 7 High Priority Repairs project located at 801 Van Ness (Bid File #12500449) (District 3)
3. Authorize the Director of General Services or designee to sign and execute all related documents

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Council adopt a finding of a Categorical Exemption and award a construction contract to Capital Industrial Restoration Inc. in the amount of $1,632,100 as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the Garage 7 High Priority Repairs and authorize the Director of General Services or designee to sign and execute all related documents.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Parking Garage 7 is located at 801 Van Ness Avenue on the corner of Van Ness Avenue and Inyo Street (also known as the "Spiral Garage"). Garage 7 has been in service for over 50 years and requires safety repairs to keep it structurally sound for years to come. Assessment of the parking garage was performed in 2016 by Walter P. Moore and Associates whose report recommended High, Medium, and Low priority repairs for the structure.
