RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the City Council approve the Second Amendment to Salary Resolution No. 2015-108 to add the new classifications and assigned salary ranges for Community Revitalization Technician and Traffic Signal Operations Specialist to Exhibit 3, Unit 3, Non-Supervisory White Collar, represented by the Fresno City Employees Association (FCEA), and the Supervising Traffic Signal Operations Specialist classification and assigned salary range to Exhibit 13-1, Unit 13, Management Non-Confidential (CFPEA).

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Enhancement of city-wide code enforcement efforts and recognition of the specialized functions in DARM has led to the development of new classifications. Specifically, the Community Revitalization Technician class, assigned to DARM will expand the Community Revitalization series that serves to reduce blight, enforce code standards, and reduce public nuisances. Furthermore, the Traffic Signal Operations Specialist and Supervising Traffic Signal Operations Specialist classifications will be responsible for work related to traffic data collection, traffic signal timing, traffic signal coordination, and traffic signal systems monitoring.
