RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the approval of the First & Second Amendment to Consultant Services Agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc in the amount of $55,200 for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,934,695 for additional professional engineering services required for the design of Runway 11L-29R Reconstruction Project at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. (Council District 4)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Runway 11L-29R is the primary runway at Fresno Yosemite International Airport and has exceeded its useful life and the design effort for this Project will enable the Airport to meet the FAA funding timelines, solidify the construction schedule, and construct a runway that will allow for continued future growth. The City entered into a Consultant Services Agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc to provide professional engineering services for the Runway 11L-29R Reconstruction Project on March 12, 2024.

Subsequent agency guidance and project development updates necessitate revisions to the CATEX to reflect changes in project scope, location, and/or environmental findings. As part of design coordination efforts, it has been identified that the Runway 29R blast pad pavement is in need of repair and will require the replacement of portions of the approach lighting system infrastructure below grade.
