RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends that City Council approve a First Amendment to the Consultant Services Agreement with Akel Engineering Group, Inc., (Akel), in the amount of not to exceed $14,067 for Wastewater Collection System Hydraulic Modeling Services (Project), which includes software license rental, software license upgrade and staff training, and authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or designee, to sign the amendment on behalf of the City of Fresno (City).

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On January 22, 2019, the City entered into a Consulting Services Agreement with Akel in the amount of $129,354 for Wastewater Collection System Hydraulic Modeling Services. The scope of work included purchase and installation of new wastewater collection system hydraulic modeling software (Info-Sewer), converting the existing wastewater collection system data to the new Info-Sewer software system and providing on-call hydraulic modeling services. The majority of the scope of work under this original agreement is complete. The City has identified a need for software license rental and upgrade and staff training on the new software platform.
