Body
RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council adopt the 574th amendment to the Master Fee Schedule to include a new 1-Ride Student Fare, a 31-Day Student Fare Pass, and to reflect current pricing for 1-Ride and 10-Ride cards previously listed as promotional.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Department of Transportation/Fresno Area Express (FAX) seeks approval from the City Council to amend the Master Fee Schedule to add new 1-Ride Student Fare for $0.75, 31-Day Student Fare Pass for $22.00, and to correct typographical errors for categories 1-Ride, 1-Ride (Reduced), 10-Ride, and 10-Ride (Reduced) cards previously listed as 0.

Students currently pay $1.00 for a single ride or $36.00 for a 31-Day Pass, but the new fare type would reduce the price charged to students.

The new rate applies only to students over the age of 12. Students over 12 must show a valid student identification from their educational institution to qualify for the student rate. Children 12 and younger will continue to ride for free.

One-Ride and Ten-Ride Cards
Review of the current Master Fee Schedule revealed unintentional typographical errors in the designation of 1-Ride, 1-Ride (Redu...
