RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the City Council adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption per staff determination, pursuant to Section 15301(d)/Class1 and 15302/Class 2 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines and award a construction contract to American Paving Company of Fresno, California, in the amount of $1,271,280 as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and authorize the Public Works Director or designee to sign the standardized contract on behalf of the City.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The City of Fresno Parks, After School, Recreation and Community Services (PARCS) Department seeks to construct a splash play area at Fink-White Park located on the northeast corner of South Trinity Street and East Whitesbridge Avenue. The scope of work includes removing the existing wader pool and constructing a splash play area and associated utility and accessible path improvements.
