RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution approving the Final Map of Tract No. 6044 and accepting the dedicated public uses offered therein and to authorize the Public Works Director or his designee to execute the subdivision agreement on behalf of the City.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Subdivider, Granville at Barstow, Inc., a California Corporation, (Darius Assemi, Senior Vice President), has filed for approval, the Final Map of Tract No. 6044, Phase 3 of Vesting Tentative Map No. 5597, for a 87-lot single-family residential subdivision, located on the northeast corner of North Garfield Avenue and West Barstow Avenue on 16.01 acres.

BACKGROUND

The Fresno City Planning Commission on August 15, 2007 adopted Resolution No. 12726 approving Vesting Tentative Map No. 5597 (Tentative Map) for a 214-lot single-family residential subdivision on 41.5 acres at an overall density of 5.2 units per acre. The Development and Resource Management Department on June 4, 2012 approved a revision to Vesting Tentative Map No. 5597 reducing the number of lots from 214 to 211. The Development and Resource Management Department on September 9, 2013 approved a revision to Vesting Tentative Map No. 5597 reducing the number of lots from 211 to 204.
