Actions pertaining to the Tulare Avenue Complete Streets Project between 6th Street to Cedar Avenue (Council Districts 5 and 7):
1. ***RESOLUTION - 43rd Amendment to the Annual Appropriation Resolution No. 2020-159 appropriating $40,500 for the Tulare Avenue Complete Streets Project Between 6th Street and Cedar Avenue (Requires 5 affirmative votes) (Subject to Mayor's veto)
2. Approve an agreement for Professional Engineering Services with Peters Engineering Group for $193,360, with a $10,000 contingency, for design and construction support services

RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends the City Council (1) adopt the 43rd Amendment to the Annual Appropriation Resolution (AAR) No. 2020-159, (2) Approval of an agreement for Professional Engineering Services with Peters Engineering Group, for $193,360 with a $10,000 contingency for the design and construction support phases of the Tulare Avenue Complete Streets Project between 6th Street and Cedar Avenue and to allow the Public Works Director or designee to sign the agreement on the City's behalf.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Tulare Avenue Complete Streets Project between 6th Street and Cedar Avenue will increase the pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure available to students and their families in the Jackson and Rowell Elementary School neighborhoods. This project will install and widen sidewalks along the south side of Tulare Avenue, upgrade curb ramps, restripe the roadways to include a road diet and class II bike lanes and install additional street lights.
