RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council take the following actions:

1. Authorize staff to enter into a Utility Agreement with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for City staff to design and inspect the utility relocations of City infrastructure being impacted by the State Route 99 Relocation Project.

2. Adopt the 24th Amendment to the Annual Appropriation Resolution No. 2014-95 to appropriate $270,100 for design and inspection costs for the State Route 99 Utility Relocation Project in FY 2015.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Caltrans is developing project documents to relocate a section of State Route 99, between Clinton Avenue and Ashlan Avenue in order to make room for the future High Speed Rail Project.
