Approve the Second Amendment to the Consultant Services Agreement with Akel Engineering Group, Inc., to extend the term of the Consultant Services Agreement by 366 calendar days to June 30, 2026 to complete the project and to allocate $50,000 from the total approved contingency amount of $64,000, and to increase the contract amount by $29,492 for a total contract amount of $737,492 for the professional engineering services for the Sanitary Sewer Master Plan; and authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or designee, to sign the Second Amendment on behalf of the City of Fresno. RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve the Second Amendment to the Consultant Services Agreement (Agreement) with Akel Engineering Group, Inc., (Consultant) to extend the term of the Agreement from June 30, 2025 to June 30, 2026, and to allocate $50,000 from the total approved contingency amount of $64,000, and to increase the contract amount by $29,492 for professional engineering services relating to the Sanitary Sewer Master Plan (Project); and authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or designee, to sign the Second Amendment on behalf of the City of Fresno.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The California State Water Resources Control Board requires an up-to-date Master Plan for all collection systems. To accomplish this, on June 1, 2023, the City entered into an Agreement with the Consultant to prepare the Sanitary Sewer Master Plan.
