Approve Contract Change Order No. 05 in the amount of $0.00 with American Paving Company of Fresno, California, which extends the date of completion to June 21, 2024 by increasing the contract time by twenty-two (22) additional working days, for the Fink-White Splash Play Area Project. (Council District 3)

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve Contract Change Order No. 05 with American Paving Company for an increase in the contract time by twenty-two (22) additional working days and no increase in the contract amount related to equipment procurement delays at the Fink-White Splash Play Area and authorize the Capital Projects Director or designee to sign the contract change order on behalf of the City of Fresno.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On December 15, 2022, a contract was awarded in the amount of $1,271,280.00 to American Paving Company of Fresno, California for the Fink-White Splash Play Area. City Council approval of Contract Change Order No. 05 in the amount of $0.00 and the addition of 22 working days of contract time is necessary due to the manufacturer delay with material and equipment procurement for equipment related to the water management system for the splash pad equipment necessary to construct the improvements.
