Title
Approve an agreement with Peters Engineering Group in the amount of $71,723, with a contingency amount of $10,000 (total not to exceed $81,723), to provide consultant services for Herndon Avenue westbound widening from Brawley Avenue to Blythe Avenue and to authorize the Public Works Director or designee to sign and execute the standardized agreement on behalf of the City (Council District 2)

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve a consultant agreement with Peters Engineering Group of Clovis, in the amount of $71,723, with a contingency amount of $10,000 (total not to exceed $81,723), to provide construction plans and general specifications for Herndon Avenue Westbound Widening to three lanes from Brawley Avenue to Blythe Avenue.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City of Fresno Department of Public Works received Federal Surface Transportation Program (STP) and Measure "C" Tier 1 funding to widen westbound Herndon Avenue from Brawley Avenue to Blythe Avenue to three (3) travel lanes. This consultant agreement allows the City to retain the design services of Peters Engineering Group, to prepare necessary construction plans, construction contract documents and to provide bidding and construction engineering services. This consultant agreement is reimbursable under the Fresno County Transportation Authority (FCTA) agreement that was previously approved by Council.
