It is recommended the City Council adopt the 54th Amendment to AAR No. 2024-122 appropriating $34,200 for the Police Department's extended 2021 State Homeland Security Grant Program into the FY2025 budget to purchase replacement equipment for the department's SWAT Team.

This approved grant project funded the purchase of equipment to support first responders and terrorism prevention efforts. Safety equipment for these special teams will enhance current capabilities to respond to resource intensive and critical incidents of terrorism or disaster.
