Staff recommends the approval of a Consultant Service Agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to conduct design and construction phase services for the Taxilane B3 Rehabilitation Project at Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) in the amount of $281,064.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Airports Department intends to rehabilitate approximately 120,750 square feet of existing asphalt pavement on Taxilane B3 on the East Commercial Apron at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. The comprehensive scope of work for this agreement includes pre-design coordination, environmental documentation, topographical survey, geotechnical investigation, preparation of design, construction cost estimates, preparation of specifications and bid documents in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant requirements, engineer's design report, bidding administration services, preconstruction meeting, and administrative support throughout construction. The total proposed cost is $281,064.
Approval of this design agreement project will enable the Airport to meet the funding timelines, solidify the construction schedule, and rehabilitate critical infrastructure to allow for continued aviation operations.
