Actions pertaining to the design of the sewer rehabilitation in Church Avenue (Council District 3 and parts of Fresno County)
1. Approve a consultant agreement in the amount of $68,400 and a contingency of $2,000 with Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group for the professional engineering services
2. Authorize Director of Public Utilities or designee to sign on behalf of the City

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Council approves a consultant agreement with Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group, in the amount of $68,400 and a contingency of $2,000 for professional engineering services to rehabilitate the sewer pipes in Church Avenue and authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or his designee, to sign the agreement on behalf of the City.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Department of Public Utilities Wastewater Management Division is seeking to award a consultant services agreement to Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group for the rehabilitation design of sewers in Church Avenue. Sewer rehabilitation is proposed where necessary to remedy structural deficiencies that were identified in the December 2014 Wastewater Collection System Master Plan (WCSMP) Update. Staff is seeking to award a design contract in the amount of $68,400 with a contingency of $2,000 to Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group.
BACKGROUND
In the 2014 WCSMP, this project was identified to be rehabilitated due to structural defiencies of the pipe based upon Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) inspection performed by the City and validated by Carollo Engineers.
