RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that Council adopt the Fifth Amendment to the Fiscal Year 2026 Salary Resolution No. 2025-177 to add the new classification of Cybersecurity Specialist with the respective salary step plan range, effective September 8, 2025; and amending Section 14, Professional Certificate and License Pay, to include Doctor of Veterinary Medicine license, effective September 1, 2025.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Information Services Department - Cybersecurity Division, has a need for a new Cybersecurity Specialist classification to provide technical leadership in the development of secure IT infrastructure. This new classification will also be focused on the development and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and infrastructure used in monitoring, threat detection and incident response and evaluating the effectiveness of security solutions to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
The Cybersecurity Specialist job classification is recommended to be placed in Exhibit 13-1, Unit 13, - Exempt Supervisory and Professional with a respective salary step plan range of $9,105 - $11,070 monthly.
