RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommend that the City Council adopt the Resolution authorizing the grant application and execution of related documents for up to $500,000 from SNC's Sustainable Recreation, Tourism, and Equitable Outdoor Access grant program to fund cabin replacements and improve promotional and communications activities for Camp Fresno.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Staff are requesting authorization to submit a grant application of up to $500,000 to fund capital improvements and improve promotional and communications activities designed to increase the number of people accessing Camp Fresno. Adoption of the resolution will authorize submittal of an application for grant funding. The grant concept proposal is due on December 1, 2025 and the final proposal is due on March 1, 2026.
BACKGROUND
In summer 2025, SNC released a request for proposals for the Sustainable Recreation, Tourism, and Equitable Outdoor Access grant program. The total funding available through this grant round is $4,100,000. The deadline to submit a concept proposal is December 1, 2025, and the deadline to submit a final proposal is March 1, 2026.
