Actions pertaining to the Renewable Natural Gas Diversion into Natural Gas Pipeline Project (Council District 3 and Fresno County):
1. Affirm City Manager's determination that Sterns, Conrad and Schmidt Consulting Engineers is uniquely qualified
2. Award the Professional Engineering Services Agreement with Stearns, Conrad and Schmidt Consulting Engineers for design, bidding and construction support, in the amount not to exceed $222,758.64

RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends that City Council uphold City Manager's uniquely qualified finding and award a Professional Engineering Services Agreement (Agreement) with Stearns, Conrad and Schmidt Consulting Engineers (Consultant) in the amount not to exceed $222,758.64, inclusive of a $20,000.00 contingency for the design, bidding, and construction support of the Renewable Natural Gas Diversion into Natural Gas Pipeline project (Project) located at the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility (Facility); and authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or designee, to sign the agreement on behalf of the City of Fresno (City).
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Department of Public Utilities is seeking to award a consultant service agreement to Stearns, Conrad and Schmidt Consulting Engineers for design, bidding, and construction support services for the Project. The Department has determined the Consultant to be uniquely qualified based on their qualifications, as well as their knowledge of the facilities, and prior efforts towards the construction documents.
