RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Council approve an agreement with TAM+CZ, Architecture, Planning, Interiors, LLP, of Fresno, CA, in the amount of $51,000 with a contingency amount of $5,500 for the design of plans, cost estimates and general construction documents for the Veterans Memorial Auditorium Stage Rigging Linesets and Grid Framing project, and authorize the Public Works Director, or his designee, to sign and execute the standardized contract on behalf of the City of Fresno.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On July 10, 2013, the City of Fresno entered into an agreement with TAM+CZ, Architecture, Planning, Interiors, LLP, (TAM+CZ), to perform an inspection and provide a report on the Veterans Memorial Auditorium Stage Rigging and Grid System. The report was completed on June 9, 2014, and it shows that the stage rigging linesets and grid framing require immediate attention. The cables and pulley wheels are worn out and the battens are bent as well as other issues.
