RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends City Council adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption pursuant to Section 15301(c) Class 1 of the CEQA Guidelines, award a construction contract in the amount of $358,000 to VSS International, Inc., from West Sacramento, California, as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the E. Butler Avenue Bike Lane from S. Hazelwood Boulevard to S. Peach Avenue Project (Project) and authorize the Public Works Director or designee to sign the contract on behalf of the City of Fresno.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City of Fresno seeks to install bike lanes on E. Butler Avenue between S. Hazelwood Boulevard to S. Peach Avenue. The proposed Project consists of a slurry seal treatment and re-striping Butler Avenue between Hazelwood and Peach Avenues to create a Class II Bike Lane.
