RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends approval of an agreement for Professional Engineering Services with QK, Inc., for $66,210 plus $17,550 for contingencies, for the design and construction support services of the Ashlan Avenue Overlay Project from First Street to Millbrook Avenue ($30,680 plus $7,430 in contingencies) and the Jensen Avenue Overlay Project from State Route 41 to Martin Luther King Boulevard ($35,530 plus $10,120 in contingencies), and to allow the Public Works Director, or designee, to sign the agreement on the City's behalf.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

To extend the life of the existing major streets through street surface restoration, the City applied for Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP) funds to fund Preliminary Engineering and Construction support services for the Ashlan Avenue Overlay Project from First Street to Millbrook Avenue, and the Jensen Avenue Overlay project from State Route 41 to Martin Luther King Boulevard.
