RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council approve a Change Order in the amount of ($3,739.70) and a time extension of 31 calendar days to Clark Brothers Inc., for Final Project Closeout of the Recycled Water Pump Station.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Department of Public Utilities - Wastewater Management Division, requests approving a Change Order reducing the contract price by ($3,739.70) from $1,833,967.00 to $1,830,227.30 and a time extension of 31 calendar days to Clark Brothers Inc. for the Recycled Water Pump Station located at the Fresno-Clovis Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility. This agreement was reached to settle outstanding items associated with the construction of the Recycled Water Pump Station.

BACKGROUND

On April 21, 2016 City Council approved the construction contract with Clark Brothers Inc., for the construction of a new Recycled Water Pump Station, associated with the Tertiary Treatment and Disinfection Facility (under construction at the time). Notice to Proceed was issued on May 25, 2016 with an aggressive contract time of 180 calendar days. Change Order No. 1 is a balancing change order for the purpose of closing-out the project. Change Order No. 1 addresses revisions during construction and time delays.
