Actions pertaining to Pilibos Park:
1. Approve Memorandum of Understanding with Stephen Investments Inc. (Pilibos Bros.) for the construction of pedestrian entry gates at Pilibos Park (District 5).

RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that Council: (1) approve a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Stephen Investments Inc. (Pilibos Bros.) for the construction of pedestrian gates at Pilibos Park; and, (2) adopt the 29th amendment to the Annual Appropriation Resolution No. 2017-165 to appropriate $15,000 from Pilibos Bros. through the Fresno United Neighborhoods 501 c (3) non-profit to partially fund the Pilibos Park project.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Pilibos Brothers Inc., has requested to partner with the City of Fresno PARCS department to construct several entry/exit gates along the perimeter of Pilibos Park - one (1) set at the main entrance (south side) and a set at both the east and west side of the park. The estimated cost for the project is $20,000. Stephen Investments Inc. and Pilibos Brothers Inc., has offered to donate $15,000 for said project. District 5 has committed $5,000 to cover the project funding gap, and PARCS staff has committed to provide in-kind project support with administrative oversight and general assistance with construction.
