Actions pertaining to the Agreement with Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group, Inc. (Citywide):
1. Approve the First Amendment to Agreement with Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $99,000 for Engineering Design for Removal of 1,2,3 Trichloropropane (TCP) from Groundwater at Well Pump Station 70.
2. Authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or designee, to sign all documents on behalf of the City of Fresno.

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that City Council approve a First Amendment to Agreement with Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group Inc. for an amount not to exceed $99,000 for engineering design for removal of TCP from groundwater at well Pump Station 70 (PS 70); extend the original Agreement expiration date to September 15, 2018; and authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or designee, to sign all documents on behalf of the City of Fresno.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In 2018, the State of California will establish new groundwater regulations for concentrations of TCP allowed in drinking water. Due to the upcoming changing State Water Regulations the City entered into agreement with Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group, Inc. to conduct a Feasibility Assessment on the existing forty five City owned water wells impacted with TCP and to determine the treatment necessary to clean groundwater from the impacted wells. While the Feasibility Study is under development, the preliminary report indicates that the City needs to expedite remedial design for PS 70, which is a water well that must remain in service.
